In December, 2023, the Methodist Churches of Easton, Greenwich, North Cambridge, Eagle Bridge and South Cambridge asked the Racing City Chorus to present a concert which would benefit the community. It was decided that the proceeds would go to local fire companies. Easton’s portion of the proceeds went to the Easton Volunteer Fire Company and a check was presented to the Fire Chief on January 14, 2024. The Church is grateful to the Racing City Chorus for their generosity in presenting the program.
From 2012 through 2015, the Youth in the church and a local 4H group raised funds for the Heifer Project, an international project dedicated to bringing sustainable agriculture and commerce to areas of poverty by providing animals to families. The group raised $5000 reaching the achievement goal of an “Ark”. Dr. Roger Ellis, a Heifer international leader presented the “Ark” plaque.
In 2018, the Church took part in a Methodist Relief Committee project called “School Kits”. The adults in the congregation donated school supplies. The older students made bags from fabric and the younger children filled the bags with the items. The Church sent 24 bags filled with school supplies to be distributed where there was a need.
